Recorded between 2020 and 2022, this is a mainly instrumental solo album, where Steve's unhinged, anti-guitar playing is used as a sound generation device.

Often, the guitar effects become their own instrument.

On some tracks, Steve also uses an improvisation technique he calls: 'voice through guitar via handheld sampler'.

Much of this material is free improvised. Some of it is ambient in nature, whereas some of the playing is more stark, exposed and explicit.

All of the instrumentation heard on this album comes from guitar and effects, except for the sampled drum programming on the tracks: 'This is no time to have second thoughts' and 'Standing on the shoulders'.

No other synthesizers or sound generation devices have been used.
